Why a grimoire one might ask.
Witches have a Book of Shadows.
The difference is in the view point.
Witches and their human companions view
magick as something in the Shadows; something that tickles at the
mind, not quite understood but working.
Druids see magick as the life force
that activates all living matter and resonates all non-alive matter
like crystals and minerals.
But what is a Grimoire?
Grimoire is an alteration the French
word grammaire which means grammar. Grammar is a noun.
The best way to understand what grammar
is, is to look at the Cambridge Dictionary meaning: “the study or
use of the rules about how words change their form and combine with
other words to express meaning.”
A Grimoire (plural) is a book of
magical invocations and spells according to the Oxford Dictionary but
if we look at the meaning from the evolution of the word, we discover
a Grimoire is the study or use of the rules about how reality changes
its form and combines with other realities to create a new reality or
set of rules. It is pronounced: grim War with the accent on the last
syllable.
Now for Occult I like the medical
definition of that word as it applies to magick much, much better.
That definition is: A process or
disease not accompanied by readily discernible signs or symptoms.
Hence, this is an Occult Grimoire
written by the Old Druidess.
